Bye Bye Blackbird

-
In honor of the thousands of dead birds in Arkansas, and now Louisiana, I bring you Ringo Starr.

--
Hold on to your Tin Hats. Is it the End of Times? Heck, I never took the Apocalypse doom and gloom stuff all that seriously, but...all these dead birds do get your attention. And why just the black birds?
-
What about the tufted titmouses? (tit mice?) Who knew they were such hardy stock?

Sunny Days

This song just brings me back to my youth--in the sun with baby oil all over me with no worries. I remember my dad took me to the store and I got to pick three 45 rpm
records...for a dollar. And I picked this one. I can't remember the other two.

One Toke Over the Line- Brewer and Shipley

What's great about this is the intro. If you listen to it you find out that this song, clearly about smoking dope, was performed on the Lawrence Welk show as a gospel tune! You can't make this up. If you are really bored and want to see a few
seconds of it....click here

Precious and Few- Climax

Caught myself humming along with this song in a grocery store. Really. Haven't heard it in years. It's a nice song. Dig the guy's shirt. Fringe.

Aint' Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman)

From MJ's 45 Collection, does anyone remember Joe Tex?('I Gotcha') was his hit. This was 1970's "soul." Is the fat woman a male or female? Don't know.
